Block Physical + Block Impact?

How do Block Physical and Block Impact combine? Will I have 20 + 33 = 53% to block Impact?

Yep, if you have both, your total chance to block Impact attacks is 53%.

Nice. I guess it is possible to ignore evasion and get 53% chance to block all physical attacks with just 4 abilities.

Yeah, it's available relatively early too. Trick then is convincing anything you're still worth trying to hit with physical attacks.

Do you mean that enemy will try to hit other demons instead of you? That's nasty Does the enemy will ignore you and will move to get adjacent to other demons?

At least for now, it never goes quite THAT far. AI tends to *hate* moving. It would only do that if you were literally immune to physical attacks.

Generally speaking, you get the best mileage out of defensive abilities when your enemies won't have many easy opportunities to hit other targets. If I made a 53% block character, I'd probably try to craft a party that was largely support/ranged demons so that my 53% blocker was the only one in front. Granted, you still have to protect him from being focused fired by stuff the blocks won't cover, but being able to shrug off a lot of physical attacks is pretty nice (especially since this also shrugs off any bad status riding on them.)

I see, it is not that much different from using Goblin supported by healers as blocker of fire attacks, Echeneis as blocker of ice attacks etc. I guess it's a good idea to use those block abilities on a demon with body immunity to make it even better and more hilarious
