I believe I had no enemies in LoS during those turns. Even DCSS warns "You are lethally poisoned" in similar situations, here Demon might give "You are going to die next turn, are you sure you want to move?"

I don't like that I need to pay attention to 3 places - main view, HP bar and message window. For example, it could be a flying tooltip "-11 HP" when my main character loses 11 HP from an attack or ignite.

I mean is Demon a memory game? Am I supposed to look at HP bar every turn, recall which values were before and think like this "So my Faerie lost 15 HP, 27 HP are still remaining, my Kasha lost 11 HP and 32 HO are still remaining and my Ghoul lost 12 HP and 35 HP are still remaining."

Don't get me wrong, Demon is the best roguelike I know (DCSS used to be that before I knew about Demon) but it could be even more user-friendly. Even conservative DCSS players use custom LUA script to display current and lost-during-previous-turn HP because current HP is useless when you don't know how many HP you lost during previous turn (even DCSS devs recognized that so they show the lost HP using a different color in HP bar) and Demon is even more complicated at that because you have to pay attention to 4 characters instead of just 1.

I do see your point. :D I'm interested in trying to improve the UI. :D Unfortunately, it isn't the sort of thing I can just slip into the current build or anything, UI stuff is never cheap. :P

I'll have to go back and eat my vegetables at some point though. :D Floating damage numbers and/or other better ways of expressing what's going on are on the menu.

for ignited ally at 12 HP. Not sure why such message is not displayed for main character, also probably it should have willForceMorePrompt=true. Glad it interrupted my resting ;)

It is displayed for the main character. :P But, only if you attempt to rest or auto-explore, not if you try to move manually. :D
