List number of demons with weakness/resists/immunity

Postby Sandman25 » Thu Jun 09, 2016 12:31 am

It would be very useful to see how many demons have weakness/resists/immunities to different elements sorted in descending order.
Something like this:
Code: Select all
Immunity: Ice (1)
Resists: Ice (3) Elec (1), Body (1), Dark (1)
Weakness: Fire (4), Dark (2), Elec (2), Light (1)

Not in the morgue file but in the game. I would use it to decide which demon to delete.

Also probably the same info about attacks might be good.
Code: Select all
Attacks: Ice (2), Fire (1), Elec (1)

If demon has 2 fire abilities and 1 elec ability, it counts as 1 for both fire and elec.

Hmm... interesting... some sort of "party overview" sort of thing? :D This definitely sounds like it could be useful! Added to the list, and thank you for the suggestion. :D

Huh, this would be pretty useful. Maybe this will curb my bad tendency to accumulate an entire party of fire-vulnerable demons...

This will be both in the morgue/report files and in-game (probably accessible with Shift+V). The in-game display isn't ready yet, but here's the morgue file version, which is basically how the in-game report will look too:

Code: Select all
--==== Party Overview  ====--

Element      Users      Immune     Resistant  Normal     Weak
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Slash        0          0          1          1*         0
Impact       0          0          1          1*         0
Pierce       1          0          1          1*         0
Fire         1*         0          0          2*         0
Ice          0          0          0          2*         0
Electricity  0          0          0          1*         1
Body         1*         1          1*         0          0
Mind         0          0          0          2*         0
Light        0          0          0          0          2*
Dark         0          0          0          1*         1

n : Number of party members counted.
* : Denotes the main character is included.

Good idea to include normal damage and denote main character, thanks!

Yeah, I figured the main character was worth special mention because you're stuck with you in the party no matter what. :D

Here's a screenshot of the in game version. :) As I suspected, Shift+V ended up being the keypress I wanted, so unless something weird happens, that will be what it is in the build.

For the most part, numbers are either grey (you have 0) or white (1+). Weak is treated a bit differently: 0 is in this case green since it's good. A number of 1+ will be red if your situation is such where it is literally impossible to field a full party that does not include someone weak to that element.

This means your summoner's personal weakness(es) will always be in red, of course. A bit melodramatic, perhaps, but only a bit: handling your summoner's weaknesses is one of the more important skills for long-term survival. :P
